It seems Amazon’s got a lot of confidence in its God of War show, since two seasons have been ordered. This comes from Ronald D. Moore, a highly successful TV writer and producer, who's currently overseeing the journey of Kratos to the small screen, even if he can’t make heads or tails of the video games.

Amazon Prime Video’s adaptation of God of War has been in the works for a while now, but on March 11 we got our most concrete details about the show yet. Showrunner Ron Moore, the mind behind the 2000s-era Battlestar Galactica reboot, has revealed that he’s hard at work on the first two seasons of the show, along with the rest of the writers’ room.

It’s tough when a highly touted TV project loses its creative team before the show even comes out. Hard time all around, uncertainty abounding. Amazon’s high-profile adaptation of Sony’s beloved God of War game franchise parted ways with its showrunner and executive producers in October 2024.
