The oil terminal at Flotta in Orkney is celebrating its 40th anniversary. When the facility was established - in 1977 - it was expected to have a working life of perhaps 25 years.

At least 29 jobs have been cut at the Flotta oil terminal in Orkney. The trade union Unite has described the job losses at the site - which leave a work force of 156 - as a "significant reduction".
