Officials said repairs to Five Wells Road will close the road beginning Monday, June 30, and work may not be completed until the middle of July.

The commission said it has budgeted $22.75 million a year to plug 1,000 wells a year. For the past five fiscal years the agency has plugged an average of 1,352 wells per year.
