The first painted silo opened in Northam, Western Australia, in 2015, while the first Silo Art Trail opened in Victoria's northwest in the Yarriambiack Shire a year later.

Avoca, the newest addition to Victoria's silo art trail, wanted something to set it apart. It may just have found it with Australia's first glow-in-the-dark silo art, in the shape of an owl.
