A microscopic examination revealed the 1.5cm piece of metal was a steel drill swarf, the Perth Magistrates Court heard during Hungry Jack's trial this week.
Swarf is a byproduct generated during metal-cutting processes when fluids such as oils, coolants and water are mixed with fine particles of metal and filtration media.
