Sea ice cover in both the Antarctic and Arctic remained far below average throughout February as global average temperatures linger near record highs

The melting of the Greenland ice sheet is now the largest contributor to sea level rise, and scientists at UNH are traveling to the Arctic Circle to understand the processes leading to that increase in melting.
