Not only has a suspect been arrested, but he also confessed to killing Stephen Edenfield at his Tampa home on Feb. 1, 1997, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in a Feb. 24 news release.

New evidence obtained by investigators in 2023 eventually led them to the suspected killers in the 27-year-old cold case.
