Tom Hardy's Bane is famous for his weird voice and his strange mask. While the mask has origins in the comics, the movie version is considerably different.

Masks modeled after Tom Hardy's depiction of Bane from the smash-hit Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" have been selling like hotcakes during the coronavirus pandemic.

Director Christopher Nolan confirmed the mask is there so he can continue to carry out his mission to kill Batman. He explained: "Bane is someone ravaged by pain from a trauma suffered long ago.
