Created and maintained by Chief Sitting Bull's nephew White Bull (1849-1947), the 162-page historical ledger and storybook was specifically intended to document Indian battles in the West.

He had no use for peace with the white man — Sitting Bull once taunted rival Indians with the boast that "The whites may get me at last... but I will have good times until then." Still ...
