China's central bank said on Thursday it would adjust its monetary policy at the appropriate time to support the economy, amid rising external headwinds.

The People’s Bank of China said it will adjust the pace and intensity of its policymaking based on economic and financial conditions at home and abroad.

China’s central bank said it will consider foreign factors and tweak its policy if necessary, in a possible recognition of external constraints on monetary easing.

The Bank of Russia held rates at its monetary policy meeting today (February 14). The policy rate remains at a record high of 21%, and the central bank said it might raise it again at its next meeting. It hiked rates by a total of 300 basis points in September and October, but has kept them steady since.
