The Department of Justice on Wednesday said it was stepping in to stop a years-long turf war waged on the streets of Houston by the Bandidos Outlaw Motorcycle Club. The war – sanctioned by the group’s national leadership – resulted in the deaths of at least two men,

"The Bandidos engaged in a series of violent attacks against other bikers in the Houston area ranging from bar room assault to outright murder," the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas said.

Officials say the Bandidos biker gang has been committing crimes against rival gang members in order to drive them out of Houston.
