BYD unveiled two third-generation electric trucks. The Class 8 Gen3 8TT drayage, regional haul, and distribution work, and the 6F for regional haul and distribution work or refuse collection.
LONG BEACH, Calif. — BYD North America announced two battery-electric heavy-duty trucks, the Gen3 8TT and 6F, featuring cabs styled by Wolfgang Josef Egger, the renowned former Audi chief designer.
The second one is a smaller BYD ETM6 (7.5 tons) urban delivery truck - which reminds us of the North American BYD 6F shown in 2021. Payload is almost 4,000 kg (3,990 kg).
For electric truck customers, BYD’s Class 6 models 6F and 6R are eligible for $85,000 while the Class 8 models 8R and 8TT are eligible for $120,000 (or $150,000 in drayage operations).
