1 fatally shot, 1 wounded, in shooting in Chicago’s River North
A woman was killed and another was injured after a shooting at a hotel in the River North neighborhood Saturday night, according to Chicago Police. Officers responded to a person shot on the 300 block of West Grand Avenue around 8:15 and found a 29-year-old woman in a hotel lobby with a gunshot wound to her neck.
Police said a 23-year-old man refused to leave the premises. That's when a security guard, a 57-year-old man, attempted to escort him out, leading to a fight between the two.
