It’s happening. Alabama Shakes -- the indie rock band known for songs like “Hold On” and “Always Alright” -- have announced their first tour in eight years. The Shakes tour kicks off July 16 in Chicago. On July 25, the Athens-founded band is scheduled to play a home state show at Birmingham’s currently under construction Coca-Cola Amphitheater.

"The wait is over…we’re back!!" the Grammy-winning band wrote on Instagram Brittany Howard, Zac Cockrell and Heath Fogg are back as Alabama Shakes! On Friday, Feb. 7, the multi-Grammy-winning rock group announced a summer 2025 reunion tour.

Brittany Howard pulled a surprise reunion of her breakthrough band in Tuscaloosa in late 2024. In 2025, the Alabama Shakes will hit the road.
