Pictures has released more details for Mortal Kombat 2, the live-action movie sequel that finally takes on the titular tournament. Characters who appear to have died in the last movie – including Kano and Liu Kang – are also confirmed to return in one form or another.

First-look images from Mortal Kombat 2 give us a good look at Karl Urban's Johnny Cage, Kitana, Shao Kahn, and Hiroyuki Sanada's Scorpion.
