Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was named the National Football League’s 2024 Most Valuable Player on Thursday night at the league’s NFL Honors in New Orleans. Sal Capaccio has more:

Josh Allen wanted to leave New Orleans with different hardware. Still, he's happy to be recognized for his accomplishments. Allen edged two-time winner Lamar Jackson for the AP NFL Most Valuable Player award in the closest race since Matt Ryan beat out Tom Brady in 2016.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen on Thursday night was received the National Football League's Most Valuable Player award. Allen was selected as the league's MVP over other such top finalists as Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley
