A Delta Airlines flight made an emergency landing at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Sunday.

Data from FlightAware shows the plane was in the air for an hour after takeoff before diverting back to MSP and landing.

A Delta flight bound for Amsterdam returned to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport shortly after takeoff on Sunday. DL160, which was scheduled to take off at 3:37 p.m., experienced a mechanical issue with its flaps that required an emergency landing.

Minneapolis, MN — No one is hurt after a Delta Air Lines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport. The incident happened yesterday afternoon. Airline officials say pilots reported a mechanical failure of the plane’s flaps shortly after takeoff.

Before making an emergency landing back at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, the Airbus A330-300 , which was carrying 272 passengers, circled the Twin Cities to burn fuel, according to Flight Aware data. About 45 minutes after the jet first turned back, at around 17:22 local time, the aircraft safely touched down.

All 272 passengers onboard have been booked on other flights to Amsterdam as of Monday, according to the airline.
