President Donald Trump has repeatedly challenged Senate Republicans with his Cabinet picks. But it's the Republican president's nomination of Lori Chavez-DeRemer for labor secretary that's proving the hardest for many to accept.

Former Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer told the Senate committee considering her nomination that it was a "brief, part-time job" and that she doesn't "personally" support abortion.

Chavez-DeRemer, a former congresswoman from Oregon, hardly cuts the profile of a traditional Republican nominee.
