Unsure sorry. We stayed in town in a cottage but didn't see an issue earlier this month. Enjoy.

Feb is usually the hottest month and Coonabarabran will often get above 30 deg C, so it will be HOT. So it depends on how well prepared you are, what your camping equipment etc …

Feb is usually the hottest month and Coonabarabran will often get above 30 deg C, so it will be HOT. So it depends on how well prepared you are, what your camping equipment etc is like and how well you manage in above 30 temps. Personally I wouldn't but if Feb is the only time you can go then it will need some planning, walk early etc plenty to drink, the usual stuff.

Coonabarabran is easy access to the Warrumbungles and has several motels and pubs offering well-priced accommodation. On the recommendation of a regular guest, I stayed at the Clock Tower Motel. Was clean, quiet and comfortable. Would happily have stayed at The Imperial Hotel except they we fully booked.
