This is a large square with many grand buildings around like the Midland, central library and town hall. It is also a major tram hub in the city. Full review by ian_dempster

The Jiohn Rland Library is a must to see, there are plenty of shops to spend ypur money in Harvey Nicho;ls or the Arndale Centre, and also pop into the Circus Tavern Bar in Portland Street, the smallest bar in Europe for Tetleys on draft.
