I've been to Sedona many time but never to this park. WOW, how did I miss this? It's a easy drive through the park and the views are amazing. Get out and hike and see the sites and explore the parkā¦ Full review by Holly W

BEAUTIFUL!!!! Happy to have missed the crowds! The drive is an easy one. Well marked. A gorgeous view around every curve. Full review by Magistra2007

We felt cheated, $14 for two was not money well spent. Even more disappointing than Crescent Mood Ranch. There are nice asphalt trails but nothing much to see. Full review by W9686OXkyled

I want to fly into Phoenix and do a few days of hiking/exploring with my professional camera...wondering if Red Rock State Park is typically full of snow in mid-March or what to expect weather wise? Do people go to the park in March!? :)
Should I Uber it for the Strip to Red Rocks to go hiking or would it be advisable to rent a car for the day instead? Anyone know the cost of an Uber/Lyft? Thanks!

We drove our rental car from west Sedona to Red Rocks State Park. It strikes me as far enough that an Uber or Lyft ride would be quite pricey especially since you would have to take it there and back. This is my sense of the issue given the general costs of rental cars and Uber rides even assuming an Uber is available.
I want to go in to see Cathedral Rock and it's reflection in Oak Creek. Is it inside the park or along a hwy. Directions please. Also, is the best time at sunrise or sunset? If the park is only open from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm, how do I get a pass (I don't see a way to get one from the website for Red Rock State Park).

We tried going to the Crescent Moon Picnic area near the end of the day. Once in the parking lot, note the grassy area to your right and the bathroom immediately ahead on the right. After you park, there's a path that takes you from the parking lot / bathroom area back towards the entrance but near to the creek. Follow that and you'll find a path to the left that takes you closer to creek and a really nice view. If it's the slightest bit windy, you'll have a hard time getting the picture.
