Great and easy hike. U get to see lemurs for sure. Wish they accepted credit cards though for souvenir purchase and entrance fee. There is even a beautiful river in the parkFull review by Jojotangjojotang

It's a MUST visit place to get a first hand glimpse of the Lemur's Of Madagascar. Before you travel to the wilderness where it takes a long time to go in roads that are in poor conditionFull review by GundaBoy

I am planning to go to lemurs parc. It looks like it will cost a lot to get there by taxi so wondered about turning it I to a full day trip. Is there anything worth combining it with ad a full day out of Tana? I have been quoted 40 USD to take me, wait and bring me back. Says leaving at 8 and returning at 5 but all reviews don't seem to think it needs that long. Any advice appreciated.

It definitely will not take that long. A couple of hours, so negotiate just for a half day. I don’t know Tana, so not sure what you could combine. If you do it on the way to the airport, 40 dollars is reasonable including the wait and airport drop off. Have fun
Q:
Will we need to reserve tickets for entrance or guides in advance?
A:
No, guides are available when you turn up and they are very helpful, friendly and informative.
Q:
Is this called Cocotier Sanctuary?
A:
Lemur parc is just outside Antananarivo, the capital. Lemur island is a little reserve owned by Vakona Hotel in Andasibe. That is a 3 hour drive from the capital.
