Easy to reach by train from Ragusa - a nice day trip and only €2.20 each way for a 20 minute ride and a discount off entry. It’s a short walk from the station and there’s a very reasonable restaurant…Full review by jimmibean

there is an entrance fee but it is not excessive. Don't miss the maze in the gardens (as long as it is not raining) I don't know where you are staying but check with the tourist office in Ragusa for opening times. it is closed on Mondays but sometime closes in the afternoon other days too because of filming or events. If you cannot check you should still be alright to go in the morning opens at 9.30.
