When you say souks you will think for old souks that Beirut had before.. It's now only for new brands and not in relation with the old majestic Beirut..So sad Full review by 713daniellao
Hello I wanted to ask pls is this the old downtown ? Is it the outdoors place ? Or is it a new mall ? I am kind of confused And is the planet discovery and arcades place inside the mall or outdoors ? I am planning to eat at balthazar as it was recommended and I have kids with me so I wanna visit these 2 places (discovery and the arcades place) Thanks for any help :)

It is outdoors. It is modernized and replaced the old charming souks- nevertheless it is still fun with lots to see. Hope this helps

Beirut Souks are a very modern part of the city you will not find the souvenirs that represents Lebanon, however the right place to find them is in a small city north west of Beirut around 35 Kilometers called Jubail overlooking the beautiful Mediterranean sea, known to be the oldest city in the world, you will find plenty of historical souvenirs that represents Lebanon. Back to Beirut Souks, prices are medium to high and they accept US dollars. Finally, don't miss visiting the city of Jubail you will need a full day to visit the old souks, enjoy the boat ride and fine seafood cosines the city is famous for. Within a few kilometers from Jubail to the North another small city called Amshit that have a famous superb restaurant called (Babil Baher) with magnificent view to the Mediterranean and outstanding fresh seafood menu.
