This area of ​​​​the city has changed and become dirty and full of rats, grenades, and unpleasant odors. However, shops, kiosks and restaurants are still open. I advise you to avoid this place. Full review by TaherAlbaghliJulian

Rarely have I seen so many different - and delicious - restaurants as we did when passing through Mong Kok today. We enjoyed a couple of amazing noodle soups with leek dumplings and shrimp dumplings… Full review by Christian M

Don't know about magnets. If you're asking as a tourist, they have a few blocks known as Sneakers Street, Fa Yuen Street, in Mongkok. I've know way of knowing for sure, but I'd be comfortable with most stores there. In fact I presumed many were factory stores. If you're looking for specific brands, I'd check their websites.

I know of a few stores but I need help getting around to them. Taxis are very expensive for a trip like this. I need someone knowledgeable and with transportation. The mtr (underground) is the best way to get around kowloon and hong kong. Much cheaper than taxi's and more convenient.

yes, some stalls are open very late and cater to the after closing bar crowds. In my experience the stalls that are open later are OK, still delicious. But the great food stalls close a bit earlier.
