Tanda Tula Safari Camp in the heart of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve is part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Safari camps shouldn’t just be beautiful, they should be designed to immerse us in nature and feed our senses. Newly rearchitected Tanda Tula Safari Camp takes full advantage of its position on the Nhlaralumi River to create intimate guest experiences across the breadth of the camp.

Hi. Can anyone tell me about the weather in December? Being that it is then summer is it uncomfortably hot? How about at night and in the tents? Is the lack of air conditioning in the tents an issue or at all uncomfortable? Is there a lot or too much rain? Does the rain get in the way of daily jeep rides or outdoor meals. Thanks in advance.

December is a marvellous time to visit Tanda Tula. The landscape is stunningly green because of the rain and all the Impala's have babies, as do many other species whom have their babies in the rainy season. The heat has never been a concerning factor as your morning drive starts very early and your evening drive late afternoon, when the heat of the day has broken a bit. It can get hot, but over the hottest time of the day you are either sipping a cocktail around the pool and cooling off in the pool or you take a siesta in your tent with a fan. Air con is most definitely not necessary. My favourite time of the year!
