A lovely scenic train ride best done when there are no leaves on the trees (out of season when it’s less busy). Granddaughters loved it. Nice frequent service reasonably priced.Full review by Sheila T

Hi, Are you allowed to take a push bike on the train to Looe? I'm planning a holiday in September and as I don't drive want to take my bike for getting around. If it is allowed is there a particularly busy time I should avoid as I don't want to bother other users? Thanks Tony

Hi Tony, two bikes per train are allowed on the Liskeard-Looe branch line on a first-come-first-served basis. It is, however, up to the guard’s discretion – so if the train is empty more may be allowed. If you're travelling from farther afield then you would need to book a bike space for any part of your journey that is on a high speed train on the main line. Details of how to do this are on the GWR website. Regarding busy times to avoid, sunny days in the school holidays and at weekends (especially mid morning from Liskeard and teatime from Looe) are likely to be busy. Other than that you should be fine.
Q:
Hi Can anybody tell me if dogs are allowed on the train please. Thanks in advance
A:
You can take up to two dogs per person on the train as long as they are wearing a lead. This is free of charge, and there is no need to book.
Q:
Can I buy return ticket at Looe Station
A:
Yes you can
