Rainbow falls is just a few kilometres of the centre of Hilo town, really easy to reach and plenty of free parking and toilet facilities. It's free to view. The falls are viewed from the fenced off…Full review by EcoBean

Very pretty little stop - you won’t need long here but definitely worth checking out out if you’re in the area, as very easily accessed from the main road.Full review by Ourarka

Actually, the pic is indeed Rainbow Falls in Hilo. It is taken from the top of the falls...you can see the water going over on the left of the tree...and the nice rainbow on the right. From the parking lot, going to the right leads to "straight-on" views of the falls...but going to the left has a short and steep walk up to the top. When deciding which of my pictures to include in my reviews, I try to add a little variety by not using the same pics as everyone else. Thanks for checking my review.

Yes, we did both in the same day plus went to Coconut Island and Richardson’s beach. If you are coming into Hilo from the north you will do Akaka Falls first. From there it is a few …

Yes, we did both in the same day plus went to Coconut Island and Richardson’s beach. If you are coming into Hilo from the north you will do Akaka Falls first. From there it is a few miles to get into Hilo where you will find Rainbow Falls. Hope you have a great time.
