Riding and viewing the mountains was unbelievable. Riding instructors are really top notch and care for the horses is the best I've seen in a long time. Book early, make sure to follow the directions…Full review by Rudy B

Trail ride wirh Lucy was beautiful and she was great. Obviously a stellar riding teacher. Which, unfortunately, is the only way you’ll get to meet her at the ranch. Yesterday was her last trail ride.…Full review by Eriktam

What is the terrain like for horseback riding? The pictures I looked at all seem like you are just riding in flat land and I don’t see anything scenic.

very scenic, rolling hills, woods, fields, view of mountains. Lots of flowers.
If we used our own shoes would they get real muddy or do you recommend renting the shoes. And if you don't want to do the zip line, would there be a need to rent shoes? Thanks.

Closed toes shoes are a must! They will get muddy and you will walk in the water at some points where you have to porter aka drag your kayak in a few shallow parts. I wore my all black Sketchers tennis shoes. Washed them in the washer & dryer back at the house we rented. Yes, renting some shoes is worth it if you dont have access to a washer & dryer. It's pretty muddy too. Worth every penny, and minute we spent on this excursion! A waterproof bag for you phone/camera is a must. They do take pictures you can buy later and they are not expensive & really good. Especially of you zip lining. But take some of your own too! I rented a backpack but I really did'nt need to. Could have just used a waterproof butt pack.
I want to plan a photo only session at the kalihiwai falls. I'm not sure which level it is, but the area where weddings take place with flat foreground and red type flowers on the left side. Question #1, how long is the ATV ride down to this area? Need to know for photographer billing. #2, what is the best time of day for photos here for lighting? #3, how far in advance can I make the reservation (i.e. one year, 6 months, etc)?
