Hello. Pevensey is dog friendly and we welcome dogs, which are led. Prams are fine, but the grass can get a bit wet and there are areas, which can be a bit bumpy. Otherwise, there's space at the entrance for at least two prams.

When will the scaffolding be removed from the castle so I can photograph it in all its glory?

It's almost gone. Very sorry but the conservation work is important for the castle and will help to preserve it for many years to come.

Just like to mention that as a local in the Pevensey Castle area someone mentioned there are no toilets ? There are in the car park to the right of the Royal Oak Pub. There's also the Cottage Tea rooms and Priory Ourt Hotel all within a good twenty yards of the castle walls.

Yes it have public toilet 10 yards from the pub and pay display car park with gate on the grass next the pub and the toilet.
