Stunning!! Peyto Lake was one of my "must stops" along the Icefields Parkway. When I arrived there was a slight queue, in part caused by motorhomes unable to park and trying to turn around. Stick …Full review by emuslushy

If your on a tour the bus parking lot is a lot closer to the overlook (top). We were driving and our walk from car parking was more then twice as long so it was a lot longer. I would think if on a tour bus the walk is manageable for people in decent shape. It’s at a high elevation so I would take my time getting to the overlook. I walked too fast forgetting about the elevation and that was a mistake. IF YOU CAN GET THERE ITS MAGNIFICENT, ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR CANADIAN ROCKY MOUNTAIN TRIP! I am 77 years old and in decent shape DennisL

I found this information in the internet. Hope this helps. The Peyto Lake and Bow Summit area will now remain open to visitors until mid-August 2019. At that time, the entire area – including parking lots, restrooms, trails and viewpoints – will close for improvements for the remainder of the year. Start dates remain dependent on weather and contractor availability. We will continue to provide updates as timelines are confirmed. Thank you for your patience while we improve the quality and reliability of national park experiences and safeguard these special places for the future.
