Just a short hike up, less than 2 miles (for sea level dwellers, the altitude is not that bad, relatively speaking). Views are great - we had a pretty clear day. Take binoculars if you have them. Tra…Full review by PAHWestfield

Now this is coming from two older seniors! It took us about 3 hrs. out and back but if you are used to doing hiking and are in great shape it would probably take you half the time. We took our time to enjoy the solitude, I think we ran into less than 10 people at intervals along the way. What was great is the absolutely spectacular view of part of the Great Western Divide and the views from the Sierra Nevada range was memorable. Granted we lucked out with the weather, no smog or fog. I used my trekking poles and was glad for them. The switchbacks are long but few. Took snacks/water or you can pack a lunch and enjoy it on the summit!
