I'm wondering if it's socially acceptable, safe, etc to put a lifejacket on my 9 month old and take her out paddling? I wouldn't go anywhere where the waters are rapid. Thoughts? Googling on the internet says that I'd be a bad parent if I did this so I thought I'd ask you guys since you're real people. Heading to Lincoln city in August and want to go kayaking as a family.

Hello, We recommend obeying all state and federal boating laws. Here are a few other things to also keep in mind. Children's life jacket must fit properly and be worn at all times. Know your skill level. If the water and weather conditions change and it gets rough,,, are you able to handle yourself and others in your care? We recommend waiting until they are older and can swim. The exact age will vary greatly from kid to kid, but to give you an age i'd say 4- 7 years old to ride in a tandem with an adult.
