John R. Fowler, MD, is a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Temple University Hospital and a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at UPMC. Dr. Fowler treats all conditions from the clavicle to the fingertips, including fractures, nerve compression (carpal tunnel syndrome), nerve injuries, tendon lacerations, arthritis, and rotator cuff tears. He utilizes minimally invasive techniques such as endoscopic carpal tunnel release and ultrasound guided tennis elbow release to allow a faster recovery after surgery. Dr. Fowler’s research interests include the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for the diagnosis and treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome.
