Fun little hike. Went midday and it was crowded. Early morning might be better in terms of crowds. I slipped on the gravel on my way down and wrenched my knee despite having tennis shoes on.…Full review by Texas7

Right, literally 5 minutes from the parking lot.

Yes definitely. The parking lot is very close by, the walk up is extremely short. It's not in a secluded area.

We went during the week so social distancing wasn’t an issue. Some people wore masks and others didn’t. When you are walking up to the hole parts of the path are narrow so you may need to walk closer than the 6ft.

Is the sunrise visible?

its really more of a western facing exposure, so not really. I would say you might want to see the sunrise from the Amphtheater at the the papago buttes which is nearby.
