The yearly Krampus festival was so much fun plus the children Krampus fest the night before. What a show!!!! We enjoyed some hot Glühwein to warm us.Full review by M9286PVbriant

Hi. Does anyone know if there's a place there where we can leave our luggage? We plan to do a day trip to Hallstatt from Salzburg, before going to Vienna afterwards, so we'll be carrying our backpacks etc. Thank you :)

So you plan to take your luggage to Hallstatt from Salzburg, spend the day there, and then continue on to Vienna? And while in Hallstatt you want to offload your luggage while you tour the town and surrounding area? The only thing I can think of would be to contact one of the local hotels such as the Heritage Hotel and ask them if they will hold your luggage while you are in town. I'm sure they could work something out with you. One thing to know - you cannot park anywhere in town except at the parking lots (P1 or P2). Be sure you park at P1 because from there you can take the free shuttle to the hotel.

It was fine when I was there from May 20-23, though not sure about current conditions - double check online and possibly call/message your accommodation or tourist office.

Hi, yes its very close, about a 7 minute walk to Marien Platz where the station is.
