With Crystal river outfitters you are basically just renting the canoe-they transport to the put in point on the river and then you are on your own for the float back to their building. Very …

You will probably get wet, between taking your boat in and out of the water at the portages and the water that collects inside the boat. You'll want to wear either a swim suit or clothes …

You will probably get wet, between taking your boat in and out of the water at the portages and the water that collects inside the boat. You'll want to wear either a swim suit or clothes that can get wet. It is an extremely shallow river, but the water is clear and refreshing so you might even decided to dip in your toes or legs. At the little store they sell several options of phone-sized and larger dry bags. I bought a couple because I hadn't thought ahead, and ended up being glad I did when my bag fell out of the boat while I was getting out of it! You could get away with a small one. They're cheaper than those waterproof phone cases.
